Well, I finally remembered I have a blog and that I should probably post something to round out this horrible year we call 2011. This has been one of the most trying years financially for my family but I am thrilled to say we came through it and are so looking forwarding to 2012. So, with good New Years Eve fashion, here are my new years resolutions for 2012...
1) Start a savings account. We have always talked about it but never did it. After this year, we need one for lifes emergencies.
2) Make smarter financial decisions.
3) Take a real family vacation.
4) Finish all my projects that are half way done.
5) Send birthday cards to all the nieces and nephews to let them know we still love them :) This one is a long story and maybe one day I will share.
6) Lose weight and stick to a healthy lifestyle change instead of going with the fad or quick fix. I started Weight Watchers online to help me with this and Im very excited and proud that I commited to something.
7) Have regular family movie/game nights.
Ok well thats my list. My fingers are crossed that I will accomplish all that I have put in writing.
Until next time.... :)

Its finally done!
So I bought this awesome dresser a few weeks ago for my bedroom. It was bigger than what I had, made of good solid wood but it was very blah. (sorry no before pics but my husband started before I could get home and get a picture) So it was sanded and painted and I got some cool awesome antique knobs from Etsy and this is how it turned out...
I love it!! I took a chance on the whole color thing but I think it turned out awesome. Now on to the next project...the pet bed. Until next time...

Latest sewing obsession
So I pretty much have my craft area finally set up (picture to come soon) so I needed something to sew since my fingers have been itching to do something for a while. I had ordered some key fob hardware from Etsy a few weeks back and thought that should be easy and quick...and boy was it! I ordered some different types of ribbon and had so much fun trying to decided what ribbon to put with what color. Of course I had to do a UT one for the hubs...
And then I had to support my town with a Portland Panthers one...
(yes I have a strange addiction to Diet Dr Pepper...dont judge lol)
And then I got a little carried away and went a little crazy...
I love them all...I might have to make holiday ones :) My dresser redo is almost done so hopefully I will have a post on it tomorrow so stay tuned for the reveal! Until then....

Its Football time in Tennessee!
Yes! Its finally here! FOOTBALL SEASON! I love this time of year...saturdays spent watching the Vols play, curled up in my chair with my UT blanket and my laptop, with a big pot of chili simmering on the stove, and the smell of my fall smelling scentsy block in the air. Life cant get much better than that :) So Im doing some projects right now but I had time to work in a wreath to support my favorite team...
Its just a simple ribbon wreath but I love it. Now if I can decide what kind of wreath to make for October lol Until next time...

Im back!
Hey guys! Long time, no talk :) So sorry I have been MIA for a while. Things have been kinda crazy. With all the changes going on, I feel like Ive just been playing house instead of actually living it. I thought it would be fun to be this great stay at home mom but real life says I cant do that. So, I finally came out of the fog and know what I have to do. I have to get a full time job. I have to for my family to survive and for us to have the things we want in life. I feel like Ive just been floating along and not facing reality. Well, Im here facing it head on and Im ready to take the bulls by the horn! I need to get things back to normal. I need to get our finances back in order. I need to blog more :) I need to get my house back in order. I need to finish my page long of projects. Im saying this to all you so yall can hold me accountable. So hang in there with me...the fun is just beginning! Until next time.... :)

Happy 4th of July
We have a weekend full of cookouts so I wanted to talk some time to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July holiday! I will leave you with my wreath that I made today. I recycled the lima bean wreath and painted it red. I added some blue and white felt rosettes and tied it all together with some polka dot ribbon. Until next time...

Another one bites the dust!
I was able to knock out another project today! Its for my handmade gift exchange...
Its a jewelry holder made out of a picture frame, chicken wire and some cup hooks. The rosettes were from a scrap box of fabric I got at work. What do you think?? I hope my Utah girl likes it :) Until next time...
